The Latest in Production at The ATTIC
7/6/99-Response has been overwhelming on The ATTIC's third music video for Liquid Image, "X-Mas Gorillas". Directed by Thomas Mumme, the video has been called a "Visual Buffet" as it incorporates 7 years worth of film footage from previous projects, with recently shot Super8 film (both color and B&W) of the band. In May, Thomas Mumme, TA Shaw, and Jason Morris went out to several locations in the Satellite Beach, Florida area and shot footage of Liquid Image's lead singer Casey Turner. The footage came out great and was cut together with the existing footage to make an incredibly exciting video. In early June, Liquid Image's original drummer, Carlos Aponte was visiting from North Carolina and the crew shot another roll of Super8 that Casey Turner and Thomas Mumme added on June 21st. "X-mas Gorillas" premiered at the Independent Film Night at the Metro Twin Cinema on June 22nd and was called back for an encore presentation on June 29th. Also, it has been sent out to the Central Florida Film and Video Festival, and word should be coming back soon. Liquid Image's "X-mas Gorillas" music video has been chosen to tour the state of Florida in the second wave of the Central Florida Film and Video Festival. Liquid Image's "X-Mas Gorillas"
6/16/99-Memorial Day Weekend, The ATTIC shot principle photography on the short film "Action News 13". Directed by Thomas Mumme, and written from a story by TA Shaw and Tom Mumme, "Action News 13" is a 15 minute story about a news reporter who is hungry for a good assignment and doesn't realize it is under her nose the whole time. The cast includes Sue Dontell, Joseph Curry, and Eric Steinberg and was shot over a two day period. 95% was shot on Digital Video by Thomas Mumme (Provided by Debra Wing) and 400 feet of 16mm was shot by Jason Morris. 2nd unit footage was provided by Adam Hendershot. Editing is slated to begin by the beginning of July and one more 2nd unit 16mm shot is needed to complete the story.6/27/99-Photography has wrapped on "Action News 13". The final 2nd unit shot was completed today. Anna Stiernelof was incredibly patient as Kenny Caballero applied cuts and bruises while TA Shaw and Thomas Mumme set up for the Martini. Everything went smooth and the film should be developed by mid-July.We will keep you updated on it's progress. 8/31/99-Final editing touches are being made on "Action News 13". Test screenings have been done and response has been wonderful. Sue Dontell is fantastic as the lead reporter, Cindy Pierson. And special thanks to Adam Hendershot for the fabulous graphics that he put together. "Action News 13" will be world premiering at the Melbourne Independent Film Festival on September 18th, 1999 at the Henegar Center in Melbourne, Fl. 9/20/99-"Action News 13" world premiered this Saturday at the Melbourne Independent Film Festival. The short film was given rave reviews and a large ovation. Everyone was impressed by Sue Dontell and Eric Steinberg's performances, but it was Joseph Curry who stole the show. "Action News" was awarded afterwards for being selected into the festival.

6/16/99-Living Room Theatre Productions presents the feature length "Due Diligence", produced by Shane Morris and Directed by Jason Morris. Pre-production is underway and the first casting call is on Saturday, June 19th in Cocoa Beach, Florida. "Due Diligence" is the story of Diligence Jones, a down on his luck student who resorts to kidnapping a mental patient in order to make a movie. It is slated to begin shooting at the beginning of July.6/21/99-The Casting Call held on Saturday was a success. We would like to thank all the talented actors who showed up to the cold reading. Today and tomorrow represents the last of the casting and we will be calling people on Saturday with our final decisions, however, you might find out here first on The ATTIC web page. Keep checking!!!!! 7/6/99-Casting is completed and Production is slated to begin this weekend. For more information, call Living Room Theatre Productions at (407) 799-4086. 8/31/99-Four weeks of intense shooting, and Living Room Theatre Productions has wrapped on the feature "Due Diligence". The boys at Living Room Theatre would like to thank all the actors and crew for a perfect shoot and they're website should be finished within the week. It will feature a 1 minute downloadable trailer for "Due Diligence" which can only be seen on the website. The ATTIC will pass the address on to you as soon as the Page is finished. This past weekend, Jason Morris recorded most of the soundtrack. Alan Semenovich contributed 4 folk/pop songs and Richard Rood (one of the top violinists in the country), his wife, and their eldest son Michael contributed several classical numbers.
